Welcome to Women’s Exchange! We are an all-inclusive community group open to all women. The purpose of the group is to provide mental and social stimulation and allow an arena for sharing concerns and discussing current issues. Our group offers opportunities for discussions of substance, speakers/special programs, and outings/field trips. We hope you enjoy being part of the group!

Our regular meetings are on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Church of the Lakes at the corner of Brunnerdale and Fulton Road. In addition to our regular meetings, we plan various outings throughout the year. These are planned based on members’ interest, local events and other opportunities that may arise. The days and times vary and are always a lot of fun! We also have a variety of offshoot groups that have developed because of our members interests….

  • Our Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 9:30 am in the Church of the Lakes Parlor.

  • Our Bunko Card group meets during the daytime.

  • Our Hiking Group is active in the fall with hikers participating in the Summit Metroparks Hiking Spree.

  • Our Lunch Bunch visits a different restaurant once a month on the first Tuesday of October, November, February, March, and April.

  • Our Bowling group meets weekly during the winter months.

  • Great Decisions is an eight-topic annual curriculum provided by the Foreign Policy Association which meets once a month beginning in January.

New subgroups form when several members have a shared interest.

Although we don’t have regular meetings during the summer, we plan monthly events just to keep in touch. You can see that we have a variety of outlets through which anyone can become involved. We also have modest philanthropic projects that we work on once or twice a year.

The whole point of Women’s Exchange is to provide the opportunity for women in our community to get to know one another. This is accomplished by spending time together through these various activities. Equal to that goal is the secondary aim of providing an outlet for us to use the skills and talents that we all have in a meaningful and fulfilling way. We have regular newsletters, periodic emails/mailings, and are always open to new ideas and suggestions. Our group is continually growing and developing. New friendships are ongoing.

Beyond regular meetings, we communicate primarily through email and our website.

Our coordinator oversees all email communication and forwards emails according to the groups’ desired philosophy. We encourage group emails to ensure all current members receive all emails. (Our Registrar keeps all email addresses current.) Women’s Exchange membership is not to be used for either profit/non-profit solicitation purposes (other than approved philanthropic efforts).

To cover our costs and be placed on our roster, we ask for an annual registration fee of $25. There are no. membership requirements as such. For regular participation in any of our activities (including all subgroups), we do ask that individuals register for membership. Checks should be made payable to Women’s Exchange.
