Bring the items you’ve purchased to our meeting at Church of the Lakes on November 11th and we will ensure that they are delivered to DVPI’s location.

Book Club    - October 21, 2020, 9:30 a.m. at Church of the Lakes.

We will be discussing: "I Am Watching You" by Teresa Driscoll

I hate to sound like a broken record but we had another lovely morning of hiking!  The weather has been unbelievably cooperative for us this year.  No cancelled hikes!  Of course, we have missed more carpooling chats and lunches afterward.  With COVID lurking around, we have had limitations.  But, I would say we have had a successful year with 10-12 of us regularly hiking.

Our last hike will be next FRIDAY, October 23, at the Naturealm.  (Change of day and time due to park office hours being limited.). We will meet at the church to carpool at 9:45 sharp.  As in other years, we will do the Naturealm hike first and then get our staff/shields afterwards.  Park office hours do not begin until 11:00 that day and they will be working outside only that day.  I was told that we will need to use credit cards for purchase of staff ($10) or shield ($5) since we are not in Summit County.  (This would be different for Nancy Cortner who lives in Summit County.)

Since we have been limiting ourselves to outside dining only, we will be heading to my patio for outdoor soup and salad in lieu of our regular restaurant “banquet.”  Temps are predicted to in the mid 60s that day, so we are keeping our fingers crossed that this will work for lunch that day.

As usual, please let me know by next Tuesday evening if you plan on hiking on that Friday and if you plan on carpooling, meeting at church or meeting at trailhead.  You do not have to have completed all of the hikes to join us that day.

        * If you would like to participate please email Donna Paola at:
